Abstract:
Kz_bndry contains the boundary polygon for KPBS. It was digitized in Arc/Info 7.0 using 1:12,000 digital ortho quad images as a backcover. The coverage is stored as an Arc/Info coverage.
Purpose:
Intended for use as the KPBS boundary file and as a clip coverage for other KPBS data.
Supplemental_Information:
Konza boundary layers, and other KPBS GIS layers were revised in 1998 to register correctly with 1:12,000 DOQQ images. This coverage will not register correctly with KPBS coverages created prior to January, 1998.

The coverage was visually inspected to insure that boundary arcs correctly overlaid with boundary ground features visible on DOQs. Boundaries that were not clearly distinguishable from DOQs were ground-truthed using GPS-derived coordinates.
